2.3 Guitar with my sis

Oh hey there! If I could describe this past week in one word it would be: eventful. Very eventful. Eventful, in a good and bad way. Let's just say there were several ups and downs I believe this week I have progressed. I am very slowly getting a hang of it. My sister has taught me several important techniques. I am amazed how much she knows. She taught me rhythm and how to connect everything together, such as cords. strumming patterns etc. In my opinion strumming pattern along with a certain cord was the hardest. I got frustrated and had to take a break from it and then I came back to try it again. This was the down side of things, getting frustrating and giving up for a while.           Along with Anna teaching me guitar, I was also able to listen to what she is personally working on. It seemed extremely complicated. I am amazed of what all she can do at a young age. My goal for this week was interpret cords better, a...

2.2 Guitar with my sis

Welcome to week two of guitar with my sis! My sister loves teaching me. She loves to boss me around. Surprisingly, she is a very good teacher. This week we started to learn a new song. The song is called "Counting Stars". My sister does the picking in the piece, while I do the strumming. The song consists of several of the cords I learned last week. I accomplished this goal... thanks to my little sis. I'm hoping by next week, I will learn half of the song. My sister and I have lots of fun together. Our similarities between us are outrageous. However, I will start to have to practice by myself, in order to keep up with my sister. I will need to practice at least 15 minutes a day.  ...

Guitar with my sis 2.1

Hello again! Welcome back to weekly guitar with my sis. This week my sister started to teach me basic cords and the basics of playing guitar. We also practiced strumming patterns. I learned how to tune a guitar as well.  She played me songs to listen to, with the new cords that I learned. After starting to learn the cords, I attempted to play the song. It was definitely extremely difficult.      My goal for this week was to efficiently learn new cords and strumming patterns.   My sister and I had to dig out her old beginner books from when she first started. We couldn't find all of them, so my sister created her own ways to teach me. She was very helpful. Next week, I plan on getting the cords I learned memorized. I hope to practice by myself, so I can show my sister. My successes of the week was efficiently learning beginner cords and patterns.      There wasn't very many issues with learning, my sister was a great teacher...
