2.3 Guitar with my sis

Oh hey there! If I could describe this past week in one word it would be: eventful. Very eventful. Eventful, in a good and bad way. Let's just say there were several ups and downs I believe this week I have progressed. I am very slowly getting a hang of it. My sister has taught me several important techniques. I am amazed how much she knows. She taught me rhythm and how to connect everything together, such as cords. strumming patterns etc. In my opinion strumming pattern along with a certain cord was the hardest. I got frustrated and had to take a break from it and then I came back to try it again. This was the down side of things, getting frustrating and giving up for a while.           Along with Anna teaching me guitar, I was also able to listen to what she is personally working on. It seemed extremely complicated. I am amazed of what all she can do at a young age. My goal for this week was interpret cords better, a...

2.2 Guitar with my sis

Welcome to week two of guitar with my sis! My sister loves teaching me. She loves to boss me around. Surprisingly, she is a very good teacher. This week we started to learn a new song. The song is called "Counting Stars". My sister does the picking in the piece, while I do the strumming. The song consists of several of the cords I learned last week. My sister is my motivation, because most of the time it gets frustrating, but she tells me to keep going and this way I overcome my frustration and learn.           My overall goal for this week was to memorize about five cords on my own. I accomplished this goal... thanks to my little sis. I'm hoping by next week, I will learn half of the song. My sister and I have lots of fun together. Our similarities between us are outrageous. However, I will start to have to practice by myself, in order to keep up with my sister. I will need to practice at least 15 minutes a day.  ...

Hello again! Welcome back to weekly guitar with my sis. This week my sister started to teach me basic cords and the basics of playing guitar. We also practiced strumming patterns. I learned how to tune a guitar as well.  She played me songs to listen to, with the new cords that I learned. After starting to learn the cords, I attempted to play the song. It was definitely extremely difficult.      My goal for this week was to efficiently learn new cords and strumming patterns.   My sister and I had to dig out her old beginner books from when she first started. We couldn't find all of them, so my sister created her own ways to teach me. She was very helpful. Next week, I plan on getting the cords I learned memorized. I hope to practice by myself, so I can show my sister. My successes of the week was efficiently learning beginner cords and patterns.      There wasn't very many issues with learning, my sister was a great teacher...

Long time no see! My second genius hour is going to be an interesting adventure. I am going to learn to play guitar with my younger sister. This is a way I can connect with my sister and rather me always bossing her around, she will have the power to boss me around. I started to play guitar when I was nine, but never followed through with it. I forgot everything I knew.      The process I will achieve is practicing with my sister at least three times a week. I will learn cords, strumming patterns etc. Then, we will eventually get into playing songs. She is very talented at playing the guitar and singing, so I will have a great teacher!     In the first genius hour, I learned to make sure you keep up with what you're doing. If you get behind, it can be extremely difficult. Now I know to make sure and practice and keep up with my blogs and pictures.      I will know my project is a success, if I improve and my sister is sat...

Hello and welcome to the last week of Photography Phaves. This week has gone well. I've edited some more photos, learned new techniques, and read an article on photography. I'm happy to say I have gotten better from when I first started. I've learned I enjoy photography and it is a fun hobby. Yes, it has it's ups and downs, but overall it went pretty great. I'm happy I got to experience this fun adventure. I now know what I need to work on in order to improve my skills. I hope to photograph someone else to see how things turn out. I might try free photoshoots. I am looking to buy a camera, however they are pretty spendy for a good one.      Thank you for joining me on this fun adventure! until next time!     Here are some edited photos I have taken.

Welcome back to the "Photography Phaves"! I am unfortunately still waiting for my camera charger, so I resorted to my iPhone. I will also have to return the camera I borrowed. However, I'm hoping to buy my very own camera to continue my photographing career. I have learned that I enjoy the skill, and it is very relaxing. I hope I keep getting better and better.      This week I have taken   a few photos on my phone and edited them. I have also looked through my camera roll to find any photos I have taken in the past and practiced editing. Although, taking pictures on my phone is fun, however it does not compare to my camera. I miss it. That has been my struggle lately and maybe with taking photos on my phone I learn to improve my skills with light, angle etc.      I have been editing my photos with an app on my phone called "Vsco". It works well, as I am able to edit contrast, clarify, saturation, highlights, fade etc. It...

Hello again! This will be my sixth week of learning photography. All I want to do now is take pictures all the time. Unfortunately I have to buy a charger for my camera and they don't sell them in Miles City, so I will have to order one:( It will take a while to order. So I have been focused on learning how to edit my photos. I've been taking photos on my phone, which is definitely not as fun but it'll do for now. I'm hoping my charger will come in soon.      I took some photos in the ag shop of welding/sparks to capture artificial light. They turned out good, but they would've looked 10 times better with my camera. However, I believe it is good for photographers to take photos on camera that are not so high quality, so it you can improve. It teaches you what works and what doesn't. I've also learned some features on my iPhone for taking photos that are pretty interesting.  Here are some photos I've taken on my iPhone this week!
